Below are some highlights of ministries that are continuing despite health restrictions as well as some of the activities
that will return when restrictions are lifted. Please join us in praying for a swift and complete end to this crisis.
Spring Bible Classes:
Easter is not just one day - Easter Sunday kicks of the season of Easter! It is a time to celebrate Christ's victory over death and to remember that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us, renewing our lives and strengthening our faith. You are invited to join us in our Easter-season classes that deepen our understanding and encourage us to apply the Scriptures today.
Lectionary-Based Bible Study
Wednesdays, April 14 - May 26 at 10am - in the church Library
Led by Rev. Connie Paulson, this is a vibrant, multi-sensory, interactive discussion focusing on the Easter season Scripture readings, relating them to our daily encounters. As followers of Jesus, we are stretched and revived by the resurrection story. And each new day blesses us with opportunities to share our resurrection faith . . . what personal story of the risen Christ do you have to share?
Easter: Behold Your King
Wednesdays, April 21 - June 16 at 6:30pm - online via Zoom
Led by Susan Davis, this study focuses on the events and deeper theological meaning of Holy Week. Diving into topics like: Old Testament prophecy that connects to Jesus as the Messiah, the significance of the events of Palm Sunday through the silence of Holy Saturday, and Jesus’ appearances after his resurrection, this study will not only help participants understand how beautifully deep Christ’s sacrifice for us was, but also how to live in light of these life-giving truths. The book is available through Amazon, Christian Book Distributors, or Lifeway Books. Contact the church office to get the sign-in link.
Sunday morning Bible Study will resume weekly at 8:30am when health restrictions are lifted. This is our ongoing in-depth Bible class taught by Conley's resident Bible scholar, the Rev. Dr. Jim Van Der Wall. Dr. Van Der Wall earned his Masters and Doctoral degrees from Drew University, and served for many years as a pastor in the Peninsula-Delaware Conference.
Youth & Family Night
The first Sunday of every month, 6-8pm when health restrictions are lifted
All middle school and high school students are invited along with their families. This is a time for young people to have good, wholesome fun, make friends, and discuss issues that are facing their generation from a biblical perspective.
