Take advantage of opportunities to bless others with the God-given gift of your presence! Everyone is encouraged by good attendance when the church family gets together to worship, serve, and fellowship. The writer of Hebrews places this expectation on members of the church: gather together in order to encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25). We all grow stronger as more and more of us join together to share each others’ burdens and celebrate each others’ blessings. As the Bible says, “One can be overpowered, but two can withstand, and the three-fold cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
Adult Education Classes are offered during the week in the fall, winter, and spring. Additional classes are sometimes offered at other times as well. Check our events page or calendar for specific dates and times.
United Methodist Men - meet the first and third Saturdays of the month with other men for breakfast, devotions, and fellowship (also a ministry of service to the church).
United Methodist Women - meet once a month with other women for fellowship, programs, and mission planning.
Seasonal Activities – participate in a variety of annual activities including homecoming, trunks for treats, fall festival, spring renewal, and more.
Acolytes – we love children to be visible participants in our worship! Serving as an acolyte is one way young children can participate in the worship service.
Nursery – We encourage children to remain with the congregation during worship services because we believe they come to value their place in the church family, and learn corporate worship by the example of the adults in their life. However, when parents/guardians feel they must take a child out of the service to avoid hindering the worship of others, we provide childcare for pre-school aged children during Sunday morning services. Our Safe Santuaries policy helps ensure a safe and wholesome environment.
Choir – come to practice on Monday evening and sing in worship services and on special occasions.
Praise Team – use your musical talent to lead God's people in worship (musicians and singers are welcome!)
Special Music - sing or play a musical instrument as part of a worship service.
Communion Steward - set up and remove elements for communion.
Usher/Greeter - welcome and seat worshipers, hand out bulletins and welcome packets, and help receive the offering.
Sound Tech/Projectionist – manage sound equipment or projection of worship materials on the screens during worship services.
Fellowship Meals - set-up and clean-up for occasional covered-dish meals.
Golden Chicks – widows are invited to participate in a luncheon every other month for fun and support.
